A 3S 40A Battery Management System (BMS) designed for three-series lithium battery packs. It supports 3.6V–3.7V nominal Li-ion/LiPo cells, providing an 11.1V nominal pack voltage and 12.6V full-charge voltage. The board is rated for up to 40A discharge current, with charging current up to 20A depending on the version.
Full Description
The 3S 40A Lithium Battery BMS Protection Board is designed to protect and manage lithium battery packs consisting of three cell groups connected in series.
The board is clearly marked with 0V, 4.2V, 8.4V and 12.6V connection points, allowing the BMS to monitor the voltage of each battery group.
It is suitable for 3.6V/3.7V nominal Li-ion and LiPo cells, including commonly used cylindrical cells such as 18650 and 26650. A 3S pack has a nominal voltage of approximately 11.1V and reaches 12.6V when fully charged.
The commonly specified version supports up to 40A continuous discharge and up to 20A charging current, subject to the exact board version and thermal conditions. Balanced versions are also available with cell-balancing functionality.
